When I'm not working, my interests
keep me active in a variety of areas, such as ecological and
political activism, singing, gardening, and hanging out with
cats large and small. The links below are some of my
favorite cyberspaces, for some of my favorite real people
and activities.
MUSIC
Kim and Reggie Harris,
a dynamic folksinging duo.
Magpie,
another dynamic duo, who often perform with Kim and Reggie.
Jazz Quartet
Nosmo King, who's not allowed to use the name on
their website. They're a blast, under any name.
THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE WORLD
Race for the
Rainforest/Race for the Big Cats - a place where you
can click to do your part for these and other causes. Also
has e-cards.
Leonard Peltier
- who has been in prison too long, for no apparent
reason. This is the site for his defense group, and includes
info on Peltier's writing and painting, along with a free
screensaver.
The Hunger site
- another place to click and save the world.
Berkshire Bird
Paradise - a great place to visit, in cyberspace or
real space. I've spent many happy hours wandering there
among the emu.
Kanatsiohareke - this is a Mohawk community that
offers Mohawk language courses, annual festivals, and other
fine events. It's a most wonderful place and group of people
There's a bed and breakfast there as well.
Seeds of Change
- a great place to buy organic seeds and plants of all
kinds. They have a lot of interesting stock here.
